Shoe Flu Don't Botha Me
And a messy house. I stare at the destruction that my three girls can make when out of my supervision for two days. Sigh.
Good news in strange sort of way: I lost 6lbs. Sickness can really aid in weight loss. However, I would never make a good Bulemic person, because I detest throwing up. I cry when I have to do this horrific act. So to say---there will be none of that for me to lose the pounds. I will be having a healthy way of losing weight....starving. (Oh, so kidding y'all)
Today was a "recovery" day from the nasty bug. I felt a lot better but weak. So, I stare at the tornado that blew through my house and then back to my computer screen to catch up on everything. My peeps missed me and that makes me feel tickled pink! And, I am really trying hard to ignore what is around me. I have no energy or motivation to even lift a finger to clean.
So...with a rough start. I am getting my way back into blogging about life here at Lil' Daisies and I feel urges of motivation springing on to write something remarkable.
I hope you are still with me?

After taking Sophia to school and getting the other two settled into some breakfast, I lit a candle and took some time to read God's Word.
It was assurance in knowing that no matter what my circumstance may be....He is always watching over me all the time.
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

On an island
The Doc is not allowed to open the jar until the computer is back in my hands....and let's just say the Doc LOVES Grape jelly. :-) So, hopefully this week we will be back up and running.
I have had many people wondering if I had fallen somewhere in a remote island drinking some exotic drink and enjoying the smells of the ocean and the warmth of the sun. I wish.
Actually, the weather has been extremely beautiful here these past few weeks and our family has taken advantage of that about everyday by spending most of our time outdoors. We are loving the beautiful Spring weather in the midst of January.
Sidenote: You can all stand and clap. I have officially lost 9lbs since I started not eating. I have one more pound to shed before I can treat myself to a reward.
Okay, that makes me ponder...do you all have ideas of rewards that would be good for me when I reach specific goals? What would you want as a reward? Do not say Chocolate cake...because that just wouldn't be right.
Alright friends. Just a little chicken (check in) to let you know that I am not on that island, rather I am actually cleaning my house as I await the arrival of my newly fixed computer. I am sure my computer will be happy to come home to a clean house. Me too.

Beer Belly
Well, not being able to post pictures really is hard on me. It makes me feel naked. What is a blog post without a picture of some sort? So, I hope you will just enjoy words. Words. Just words.
Random Sidenote: Lydia comes into the kitchen while I am writing this and matter of factly states: "I want more beer!"
Of course, I am caught off guard, confused, and stunned at what she just said. "Oh, ha ha ha! Honey, you want more ROOTbeer."
"Yes M-aaahM! I want more Beeer!"
Back to reality of this post:
So, I have begun the ever treacherous trek of "eating healthy"....meaning I am trying to lose my 6 years of baby pudge! Now, it is not really a New Year's Resolution (though, I suppose it could be). I don't want to put it on the list of resolutions, because most of the time it ---okay all the time I never complete my resolutions.
I have actually wanted to join WW (weight watchers) for awhile now, but I wasn't able to because of the moolah issue. But, thankful to Grandma's who hand out Christmas money, I have been able to start.
Why am I letting you know? Because I am hoping that you can at least join me in prayer, motivation, your thoughts, encouragement etc. I don't want your criticism, so leave that at your side of the computer web!
It is week two and for my first week I lost 3lbs. Hoo-rah! So, it is a start. So, I celebrated with eating a piece of cake! Ah, I know. Acutally, it was my friend's birthday and I made a cake and a pie---and of course I HAD to eat it.
Well, thankfully, today is anew and I am not quitting, but trying again.
Okay friends,
Any tips?
What has kept you motivated to keep exercising, eating healthy, etc.
I am off to drink some water, not Beer! Yeah me!

A Perfect Post from a Return From the Holidays
I have been attempting many times to write a post. I have been trying to put together some thoughts to share --ya know those posts about how our Christmas went, New Year's Eve, and Resolutions list about how I am going to become the perfect Mommy and wife. Well, life is not oozing with exciting tales to share at the moment. Or rather life is not oozing enough time in my day to sit and write.
But, I do hope that I can get the office clean, organize my entire house, lose some weight, have devotions daily, my children would play nice together...
Ooops. That looks like a list. Better add eggs.
How about a Recap of New Years Eve:
Cliff Note version:
- We had lots of people at our house.
- We ate lots of food.
- I drank a couple "drinks"
- My husband drank more.
- We played games. I didn't win at any of them.
- All the kids stayed up until midnight (except Lydia who fell asleep at 11:30 on the couch)
- We watched the ball drop and tooted horn kazoos outside---We were loud.
- We watched neighborhood fireworks while we froze tooting our kazoos.
- We played more games.
- We went to bed at 12:01. Just kidding....we went to bed at 1:00 something or another...
Recap of Christmas ( Another Cliffnote version)
- Christmas Eve: All girls, except Rosi, sing in church "Silent Night" ---at the end of the song, Lydia says" testing testing" very loudly into the mic. Practice obviously went well.
- Mommy sang a solo "O' Holy Night"---when suddenly a beautiful 3 year old ballerina dancer appeared on stage and stole the show with her theatrics.
- Snow = cute bibs for everyone and funny snow lady with a carrot nose and two eyes made out of rocks.
- Presents: Lots and lots
- We ate: Lots and lots
- Made Christmas cookies
- Games
- Wii ---my girls Rock at the Wii. Remember to not box with Sophia.
I would love to share photos with you, but Picasa has decided that I have shared enough. Actually, I have reached my limit----so either I fork out the money to buy more space or I have to wait to figure out what my dear Ric has planned to fix the current situation....
Well?
How was that for a bit of randomness back into the blogging business. I hope you will stay with me and share with a few friends. Because I need some more friends. More friends to come visit and read my randomness.
Oh yeah. To add to my list
- Also I’d like a massage.
- And someone to cook dinner for me.
- And some earplugs.
