On My Mind

The depth of our relationship with the Lord will directly reflect the depth of our relationship with others.

I read this quote in my devotions today and it really struck with me. I really thought upon this much of the day. I thought about my relationship with the Lord and my relationship with others.

My call is to pursue the heart of God and reflect His peace to others around me.

God is holy. By pursuing His holiness, I am pursuing His heart. Once I begin to learn and delight in the heart of God, I recognize the things He desires and pursues. Pretty soon, I find Him pursuing me. And in this mutual pursuit I come to find my life reflecting His heart.
