Monday Menu October 29th

As mentioned from last week's Menu Post, I have already planned out 10 weeks of menu. We are now on week two. So far so good. My DH is going to be out of town this week, so I had planned simple meals for me and the girls. I really don't like to cook much when he is away.
Tonight (Sunday) we had Taco Soup. I love this recipe. It is so simple. My friend made this for me at my surpise birthday party on Saturday (Thank you Tanya)! I had already most of the ingredients in my pantry or fridge, so I decided to have that for dinner tonight. Yummy!

Now, around this time of year, I really do enjoy soups and stews, etc. They are just pure comfort food for the Season. I wanted to include a recipe for Potato Soup that I found at HomespunHeart last week. It looks delicious and I would really reccommend trying it. I haven't tried it yet, but I am anxious to try and squeeze it in my 10 week menu plan somewhere. Also, check out Monica at HomespunHeart blog...she is a pleasure to read and I do enjoy all her creative, crafty ideas.

Hope y'all have a great week and a safe Halloween. We plan to go to a Harvest Festival instead of trick er' treating. I am looking forward to the girls riding ponies, hay rides, apple bobbing, cotton candy, and other yummy Harvest activities.
