Refreshing Our Souls

There is so much I wish that I could be doing with this blog -- however, it has been a season of changing, breaking, molding, renewing, refreshing in our lives right now. I have had thoughts of sugar plums dancing in my head - okay, not really... but, I have had visions of sharing a ton of Christmas wonders and ideas, gifts, thoughts on the manger, etc. But, it just is not happening right now.

AND THAT IS OKAY~~ God is really teaching me this!

To encourage my faithful readers: I do want you to know that I am continuing with this blog. It may not be writing as often lately (see above) - but, in due time I think it will pick back up with more blog posts. I am looking forward to what God will do and is doing within me and this blog and how HE will guide it and use me through it.

I read this in a devotional awhile back

One of the best things about life is that tomorrow doesn’t have to be the same as today. You can learn new habits, get rid of unwanted old ones, and do something about it.

You can be secure that Christ’s love for you is unchanging. Being firm and secure in that knowledge allows you the freedom to make needed changes in your own life. Knowing that God really loves you includes understanding that He wants the best for you and is willing to help you get it. He will help and support you through the choices and changes you need to make. He will be with you all the way. James 1:8 says that if we lack wisdom we can go to Him and He will guide us. (Extraordinary Women Devotionals)

One of the ways HE has been guiding me is to trust in HIM daily and find rest within HIM.
Here is what I read today in my time with the Lord:

Psalm 61: 1 - 4

1 Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.

2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe.

4 I long to dwell in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings

Psalm 62: 1-2; 5-8

1 Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.
2 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on Goda]">[a];
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.

Psalm 63: 1 -5

1 You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.

2 I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
3 Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
4 I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

Be encouraged today my friends -- find REST in HIS ARMS - and LIFT UP YOUR HANDS and SING unto HIM Who is your ROCK and FORTRESS - a REFUGE for you. He is LIVING WATER to refresh your soul.
