A few of my favorite things:

Finding my girls like this! I truly LOVE the sisterhood of this picture. This is so sweet and tender to me. I never had a sister growing up---so I can live vicariously through my girls in this sense. Makes my heart melt....they really do love each other (though at times with the screaming, pinching, biting, hitting...you would think otherwise). But, I can look upon this picture and be reminded of the bond of sisters. Blessed.

Totally NOT my fault!

AHEM....Do you remember THIS?

Well....this time her "new" haircut was not my fault. This time I could TOTALLY blame it on Lydia. Sigh.

It was when I was on the phone with my mom discussing flight schedules, facebook chatting a friend at the same time (because she is going with us on our trip), and also chatting through Gmail with my husband regarding credit card info, all the while Lydia is at the kitchen table with her scissors from her craft box giving Rosi a brand new look.

Ahhhhhh!

Do they plan these things? Seriously.

Well, I went over thinking it was just a few strands of hair...OH NO... it was pretty much the whole back of her hair. There laying on the floor was A LOT of Rosi's beautiful curly white hair. Sniff, sniff. There was only a strand of long hair left...of which I had to cut because I couldn't just leave it like that.

Well, her hair is still quite crooked in the back. I have not had time to really fix it, yet.

And Yes, I took pictures.

I tried to find a pic of the back of Rosi's head from "before"...but, this is all I could really find.

Sweet Thing

I was reading a book and looked down to discover Rosi laying near my feet. I found her like this...curled up with her favorite pillow and blanky asleep. Sweet thing. She was so tired.

Playing in the Sand

We spent a week as a family with friends at the ocean. I absolutely love the ocean. It is a peaceful escape for me. I am not sure that I would like to live there all the time...because it can get dreary after awhile...but, I wouldn't mind owning a vacation home by the ocean someday.

Our family had so much fun playing on the beaches. One of the beaches had lots of fun rocks to dig through and find agate rocks. The other beach was just pure build sand castles, fly a kite, and play in the ocean water.

She's Like Me

(so this is an awkward picture of me, But...) And you wonder where our expressions come from? Yep. They are inherited...or learned...or...
Aren't we the pair? Makes you wonder what we are thinking with our frowed eyebrows. Hmmm.

Life is a bowl full of cherries

For Father's Day this year we had picked cherries from my Dad's cherry tree. It was fun and delicious. A few weeks later we came back and picked even more cherries. Ric made a sweet homemade cherry pie from this batch.

Summertime

we've spent our summer so far swimming, eating otter pops, watering the garden, harvesting the garden, summer camp, traveling, camping, eating homemade ice cream, BBQ-ing, visiting with grandparents, hanging out at the lake, reading books, picking cherries, working on the house, more swimming, eating watermelon, playing with friends, playing dress-up, painting, riding bikes,flying kites, watching Night of the Museum when it's too hot to play outside, eating otter pops....

....and we are only 1/2 way through our Summertime!

Laundry List

Here at Lil' Daisies has been full of adventures and traveling! I will be sure to post some pics of our fun times and share stories too--- as soon as I can get a breathe in. As comes with anytime that I am in and out from home --there comes the aftermath --a time to pick of the pieces. So I have some details to get in order here at home before I can share with y'all our fun adventures!

My Laundry List:

* Put away clothes from traveling and wash clothes
* Put away camping equipment
* Put away clutter from all over the house
* Sort through toybox (it is overflowing!)
* Deep Cleaning
* Organize Meals for friend who just had their baby
