Keeping Track

I have been working on a few things to help me keep better track of things I want/need to do to make our home a place of sanctuary and inviting to family and friends.

First -- I started a "List" Notebook. I love to make lists and I seem to do that over and over again but usually on random note pads. And, I am sure you know how that worked out? Lost papers or a clutter of papers around my house. Now, I have one place to write them down. I carry it in my purse so that I can have it everywhere.

Second -- I have been working on my Menu planning. This has been a long process. I was doing fairly well at it for awhile. But, when income was cut, I had to cut back and re-think how to budget our money appropriatley. I also had been sick for the past 6 months and it was difficult to even remotely get a menu plan out. Though, if I had the menu plan organized a bit better, it probably would have been fairly easy even when I was sick. Alas, I am almost done with the plan. I will share it with you once I get it finished and I can figure out how to put it in PDF form so you can take a look at what I hope to be a good plan for our family.

  1. PDF995 is a free program I use on my work and home computers. It installs as a printer option. When you're ready to convert a file into PDF, you select the "print" option, select "PDF 995" as your printer, and it converts the document right there on the spot.
