We have an abundant of furry little creatures in our backyard. Lydia's favorite past time is to play with them. She finds at least 3-4 of them daily and pets them, talks to them, and names them. So far I think we have only had a few casualties. Oh, they are so furry and cute.
Caterpillar Song
(tune: “Adams Family”)
Refrain:
My tummy is fat. (snap snap)
I like it like that. (snap snap)
I wiggle around,
I jiggle around,
My tummy is fat. (snap snap)
I'm a hairy caterpillar
I'm such a chubby feller
I love to eat and eat,
Those leaves are such a treat!

Caterpillar Poem
Caterpillar
Our garden's furry little train,
Sir Caterpillar, please explain.
I've been told that by and by
you'll turn into a butterfly.
Instead of moving like a train
You'll fly and flutter like a plane!
I've wished for wings, but I don't know
Just how a kid gets wings to grow.
If you could show me how to do it,
I bet there would be nothing to it!
Flitter, flitter, butterfly,
Flitter, flitter, butterfly,
Flitter, flitter, butterfly,
Flitter, and fly up in the sky,
Oh my, butterfly,
Oh my, butterfly,
Oh my, butterfly,
Do you always fly so high?
